The first thing I saw about Ron Paul was an email from a good friend.  It also said ‘Republican’.  So I archived the message without reading it.  I didn’t think about Ron Paul again for months.

Email again.  It was a video of a Ron Paul interview.  When I watched his presence and heard him speak, I was shocked, ‘Who is this guy?!’

He doesn’t speak like a politician.  He speaks like a statesman, a concerned and learned citizen.  A real statesman he is; no frills with Dr. Paul.  He is consistent, compassionate, and courageous.  He’s been advocating the same policy in all matters since he appeared on the scene in the ‘80s; The Golden Rule.

Ron Paul’s voting record as a congressman these past 10 years attribute to his dedication to the vow he took when coming into office; to OBEY the constitution.  He’s never voted to raise taxes; never voted to regulate the internet; never voted for gun control; is strongly opposed to the IRS as an unconstitutional and illegal bureaucracy; is strongly opposed to the ‘War on Drugs’, criticizing the government for penalizing addicted persons when violence and theft are the true crimes, not addiction; condemns the federal government for interfering with property rights laws to benefit corporations causing pollution and global warming; and always in his positions he advocates letting the free market work, because it does, when bureaucracy isn’t involved.

Now this is a person who really adheres to my values, live and let live.  This is someone I can get behind for president!  I started right away building a website.  I collected what I felt to be the best videos and radio interviews representing Ron Paul’s views and organized them by topic.  As the site matured, I added links to other grassroots volunteers, or as we lovingly refer to as Paulunteers.  I include links to politics education site, voter registration site, state-by-state voting regulations and deadlines site, articles about Ron Paul, a library of Dr. Paul’s published writings, and action alerts for the newest movement in support of Ron’s candidacy.

Thank you Ron Paul for taking seriously the responsibility of your office, and seeking a means to help the rest of us.
